BRADFORD FOR TEACHING: RECRUITMENT SUMMIT 2019 / 8.30am - 1.00pm

We have brought together some of the best national speakers on teacher recruitment issues to offer their views and ideas in a morning of discussion, together with one of the best facilitators in the education sector to guide us through a packed session.

The session is for school leaders and HR leads - whether from Bradford or elsewhere.

The aims of the session are:

  • To understand wider workforce data trends and how they might affect us
  • To examine what we know about why teachers apply for, and leave, particular jobs
  • To explore the practical solutions that other schools and organisations have deployed to enhance teacher recruitment

Discuss & Debate

There will be plenty of opportunity to explore your own recruitment challenges. The session will include regular discussion slots to interrogate the evidence presented by speakers and to consider what it might mean in our own schools. If you have one, bring your own teacher recruitment and retention strategy and use the session to develop and refine it.

Who should attend?

The summIt will be most useful to senior school leaders who are part of an SLT, or who have specific responsibility for teacher recruitment and retention. In larger MATs, central staff with responsibility for the workforce are likely to find the session useful too.

The summit is free for anyone, just register here >

Coming Next

We’ve released our intial programme for #BEInspired2020 next June, with conferences, debates and celebrations at the heart of plans. With a week of discussion, debate (and some entertainment thrown in) we aim to show just why Bradford is a great place to be a teacher as part of a city-wide professional community, with diverse schools offering a wide range of career opportunities.
