Support for Early Career Teachers

TanzinaWe aim to support every new teacher in Bradford to be the best that they can be, so that they succeed in their new career. 

From 2020, all new teachers in Bradford will get special early access to additional benefits to support them in their first two years of teaching.

New funding (and a guarantee) will enable Bradford teachers in their second year of teaching to have 5% off timetable – in addition to the 10% timetable reduction already in place for their first year of induction.

Funding is being invested to train mentors to support early career teachers, so that they have good quality support from an experienced Bradford teacher.

Bradford schools will have funding to release time for mentors to spend time with new teachers.

These benefits will be available in Bradford from 2020 – one year ahead of England as a whole.
